This school is a gift

First season: September 2026–March 2027

MIC, Buckfastleigh, Devon

Edge School is a series of monthly talks with dinner, where we’ll think with and learn from our neighbours. This is a culture-growing and wisdom-sharing experiment, in which all tickets will be offered as a gift. Anyone who is hungry for culture and connection is warmly welcome.

All around South Devon, there are people in studios and workshops and barns and fields and bedroom-offices and their own beautiful minds, exploring vital questions and ideas. Lighting themselves up with craft and investigations and nerdery that can help us live in these edgy times. And the rest of us want—*need*—to know about it.

Once a month, we’ll gather to hear about one of these investigations. Then we’ll share dinner and have a whole-group discussion.

You are invited to come and be nourished by hearty ideas, hearty food, and hearty neighbouring.

Offered as a gift

Nobody will pay to come to Edge School. These evenings are offered as a gift whose value won’t be measured in money.

Edge School is founded on the belief that a market economy of neat exchanges does not grow a living culture. Living cultures are grown by acts of generosity. They are sustained when people become willing to receive a gift and be changed by it, then somewhere along the line, find a way to pass it on.

The first season is fully funded. You can see the fundraiser at GoFundMe.
